I am an architectural and urban designer working at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and urban research. I received my Master of Architecture in Urban Design (MAUD) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, following an M.S. in Architecture from Seoul National University and a B.Arch from Korea National University of Arts.

My research examines how architecture transforms over time and how the cumulative adaptation of individual buildings shapes broader patterns of urban change. I am particularly interested in the relationship between incremental transformation, urban morphology, and urban adaptability. My work combines architectural and urban-scale analysis with spatial, historical, and field-based methods to understand cities as evolving built environments.

I have explored these questions through research on the incremental transformation of urban fabrics in Seoul and through architectural and urban design practice across multiple scales. By bringing research and practice into dialogue, I seek to understand how building-scale transformations accumulate into larger processes of urban adaptation and resilience.
